Golfers are hard to shop for. They already own too many balls, plenty of tees and a closet full of logo polos. The best golf gifts are the ones that make someone laugh and then actually get used. Here are six funny golf gifts for men that do both, plus a few tips for picking the right one.
1. Funny golf tees
Tees are the perfect gag gift because every golfer uses them and nobody buys the fun ones for themselves. HahaHome tees are 3¼-inch bamboo tees that arrive in parody packaging, so the box gets a laugh before the round even starts. Teequila is a good place to start: 10 blue and white tees in a parody box, rated 4.85 out of 5 from 20 reviews, at $9.99. If your golfer goes through tees quickly, Fore-ona Extra comes with 20 tees in a recyclable can, and Bogeycycle Red and Bogeycycle Blue pack 12 tees each in a portable, recyclable box.
2. A funny golf ball gift set
This one feels like a real gift. The Funny Golf Ball Gift Set includes six golf balls printed with funny sayings, three printed tees and a ball marker, all held in a foam insert inside a giftable box. For twilight rounds, the Glow-in-the-Dark Funny Golf Ball Gift Set has six multi-color LED balls and three fluorescent tees.
3. Funny golf socks
Socks are the classic gift, upgraded. HahaHome golf socks come in seven styles, including Angry Golfer, Flagpole and Weapons of Grass Destruction, in a cotton blend (70% cotton, 28% polyester, 2% spandex) with a one-size-fits-most fit. At $6.99 a pair, you can buy two or three styles and still stay on budget.
4. A golf hat with personality
A good golf hat does double duty on the course and at the clubhouse. The Breakfast Ball Club hat nods to the first-tee mulligan every golfer knows, with a cream crown and an embroidered 1998 club badge. The American Links hat goes for a country-club look with a white crown, an olive green brim and 3D puff embroidery. The Walking Golf Ball Rope Hat adds a rope-accent brim and perforated side panels for airflow.
5. A funny driver head cover
If your golfer has everything, give them something for the bag. The Fore-ona Extra driver cover fits 460cc drivers and is made from PU leather with a soft inner lining to protect the club. It also happens to be a conversation piece on the first tee.
6. A funny golf ball pouch
The HahaHome golf ball pouch holds up to 12 balls and clips to a bag, belt loop or cart with its black carabiner. It has a soft, textured leather feel and plenty of attitude, which makes it a good pick for dads, husbands and bachelor party trips.
How to choose the right funny golf gift
- Know their sense of humor. If they love puns, go with tees or socks. If they like understated style, pick a hat.
- Think about use. Tees and socks get used every round. A ball pouch or driver cover lives on the bag.
- Match the budget. Most HahaHome gifts land between $6.99 and $24.99, so it is easy to build a bundle. See the full list of golf gifts under $25.
- Plan ahead for occasions. Father's Day, birthdays, Christmas and tournament prizes all benefit from a gift that is ready before the rush. Shopping for a dad? Start with our golf gifts for dad.
Build a gift bundle
A bundle feels thoughtful without costing much more. A set of funny golf tees, a pair of golf socks and a hat make a complete gift for a birthday or Father's Day. For a group of golf buddies, pick one tee style for every person in the foursome.
